Why Complete the Storyline?
The storyline is one of the fastest ways to gain experience, money, and a major endgame item early in Your Bizarre Adventure. Completing it leads to a Requiem Arrow, which can evolve eligible Stands into their Requiem versions.
The quest follows the Part 5-inspired conflict around Giorno, Passione, La Squadra, and Diavolo. It is mostly a chain of NPC conversations and boss fights across Naples, the train station, and the castle, so knowing the next destination prevents unnecessary backtracking.
Before starting, bring a Stand if possible. Early objectives can be completed without one, but Bruno and later enemies are much easier when you have combat abilities available. A Bat from Brad can also help new players who have not obtained a Stand.
| Preparation | Why it helps | Where to handle it |
|---|---|---|
| A usable Stand | Makes boss encounters safer and faster | Obtain through normal Stand progression |
| Basic healing and cash | Reduces downtime between fights | Naples shops and item pickups |
| $5,000 in your wallet | Required to continue the Trish portion | Keep it; the quest does not take it |
| Familiarity with Naples | Several NPCs are spread through the city | Learn the park, fountain, arcade, and station routes |
Starting With Giorno
Begin by finding Giorno Giovanna near the parking lot or City Park area. He asks you to defeat five Security Officers, beginning the main sequence. After returning to him, you receive a Stand Arrow alongside experience and money, then receive Koichi's Suitcase.
Take the suitcase to Koichi Hirose near the parking-lot streets. Speak with him, then return to Giorno at the park entrance. This short delivery step advances the story to its first real boss assignment: Leaky Eye Luca.
| Step | NPC or target | Objective | Reward shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Giorno No. 1 | Defeat 5 Security Officers | EXP, cash, and a Stand Arrow |
| 2 | Koichi Hirose | Deliver Koichi's Suitcase | EXP and cash |
| 3 | Giorno No. 2 | Defeat Leaky Eye Luca | 600 EXP and cash |
| 4 | Bruno Bucciarati | Defeat Bruno in the train-station metro | 1,000 EXP and cash |
Leaky Eye Luca is near the park area. He is a manageable early target, but do not rush immediately into Bruno afterward if your build is weak. Bruno is located inside the Naples Train Station metro and is identified by the quest as a difficult encounter.
A practical early-game route is:
- Defeat the five Security Officers and return to Giorno.
- Deliver the suitcase to Koichi, then report back to Giorno.
- Defeat Leaky Eye Luca near the park.
- Pick up a Stand or buy Brad's Bat if needed.
- Go to the Naples Train Station metro and defeat Bruno.
Bruno's defeat changes the story from chasing Giorno into working with his group. Speak to Bruno after the battle to receive a lighter intended for Giorno.
Joining Bucciarati's Team
Bruno gives you a lighter to deliver to Giorno No. 3. Giorno is near a telephone booth by the stairs close to Boss's Caffè. Once you hand it over, he invites you into the group and directs you to meet Bucciarati's crew.
The crew conversations are simple, but their locations create a common navigation problem. Speaking to the NPCs in an efficient order saves a long walk across Naples.
| Crew member | Location | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Fugo | Near the Naples Train Station entrance | Speak with him first |
| Mista | Eli's Pizzeria | Speak and answer his question carefully |
| Narancia | Arcade | Speak with him for the next introduction |
| Abbacchio | Near the fountain wall or City Bridge area | Speak before returning to Bruno |
| Bruno No. 2 | Near trees and a bench by the fountain | Report after meeting the crew |
Mista's dialogue includes a question. The listed safe answer is not four; choosing four can cause Mista to attack. Once the group introductions are complete, find Bruno No. 2 by the fountain to move into the La Squadra section.
This is also a good moment to organize your inventory and make sure you have $5,000 available. You need to show this amount to Trish, but it is a requirement rather than a payment. The money remains in your wallet.
La Squadra and the Castle Finale
Bruno explains that you will act as bait while the group pursues Polpo's fortune. Go to Trish Una near a wall in Via dell' Oceano and speak to her while holding at least $5,000.
Trish sends you after Fugo, who has lost control of his Stand. Defeat him in the Via dell' Oceano park and return to Trish. Her quest chain then moves through Pesci, Mista, and Ghiaccio before returning you to Bruno at the castle.
| Order | NPC or enemy | General location | Goal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trish Una | Via dell' Oceano wall | Show $5,000 and accept the assignment |
| 2 | Fugo | Via dell' Oceano park | Defeat Fugo |
| 3 | Pesci | Under the bridge by the train tracks | Defeat Pesci |
| 4 | Mista No. 2 | Near the train-station exit | Get directions for Ghiaccio |
| 5 | Ghiaccio | End of the train tracks | Defeat Ghiaccio |
| 6 | Bruno No. 3 | In front of the castle | Continue the final story step |
The Fugo, Pesci, and Ghiaccio sequence has several NPC stops, so follow the route in order instead of returning to central Naples after every objective. Pesci is found beneath the bridge over the tracks. After defeating him, speak to Mista near the station exit to unlock the Ghiaccio objective.
Ghiaccio waits at the end of the tracks and can be a tougher battle than the earlier targets. Use distance, block when appropriate, and avoid fighting extra NPCs nearby. Once he is defeated, speak to Mista again and head to Bruno at the castle connected to the City Bridge.
Bruno explains the final stakes: Trish is Diavolo's daughter, La Squadra sought to expose the Boss, and Abbacchio died while investigating his identity. Bruno then directs you to Giorno at the castle.
| Final step | NPC or target | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Speak to Bruno No. 3 | Naples Castle | Learn the final objective |
| Speak to Giorno No. 4 | Naples Castle | Receive the Diavolo assignment |
| Defeat Diavolo | Castle area | Earn EXP, money, and a Requiem Arrow |
Diavolo is the final boss of the story. Defeat him, then return as required by the quest prompt to collect the final reward. The Requiem Arrow is the most valuable reason to finish the storyline, since it enables Requiem evolution for compatible Stands.
